David and Yola Coffeen present TESSERACT catalogue 86, a special issue devoted to Jesse Ramsden, the master instrument maker of the 18th century. Included are works by Ramsden himself, and by his employers, in-laws (the Dollonds), apprentices and workmen, successors to the business and to the craft. It is a thematic collection formed over the past 25 years.
